Phillip Peevey

Phillip Peevey
Phillip Peevey is a lifelong resident of Pearland and has remained active in the community. He has always been civic-minded, working through college at the Pearland Police Department, Niday-South Park Funeral Home, and Pearland ISD. After graduating, he worked as a cost engineer before entering the funeral business.
Phillip holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Houston - Clear Lake and an Associate of Applied Science from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. He is licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer as well as an Insurance Agent. Phillip is well-regarded for his ongoing commitment to excellence in his profession and for his pursuit of complete satisfaction from each family he serves.
Phillip is a member of Sagemont Church and has served on the Pearland ISD Board of Education. In his free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Chase Peevey

Chase Peevey
Chase grew up working in and around the funeral home since he was in middle school and learned quickly what all went into operating a family-owned business. Chase worked his way through high school and college in the oil field safety and supply industry, then moved to public accounting and later the manufacturing industry after college, all while still helping out at the funeral home.
Chase graduated from Pearland High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting and Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Chase serves as the Controller, but can also be found working in all areas of the funeral home when needed.
In his free time, Chase enjoys working out, going to the beach, and grilling with family and friends.

Angela Nichols

Angela Nichols
Angela is a native Texan, born and raised in the Houston area. She began a career in the funeral industry in 1997, which has continued for over 25 years.
She has been part of Peevey Funeral Home Staff since 2007, specializing in several areas, including office administration, customer service, funeral pre-planning, marker and memorial design.
Angela and her husband Scott live in the Houston Heights area. They enjoy grilling out and watching sports with friends and family. Her hobbies include working in her flower garden, growing plants and trees, as well as cooking, party planning, and entertaining.
She is very dedicated to her goal of helping families and is constantly putting others before herself.
“I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity to work at a family-owned Funeral Home. Building special relationships with families is of great importance to me, and I hope to continue that for many years to come.”

David Salazar

David Salazar
David Salazar was born and raised in Beeville, Texas. A second-generation funeral director, David grew up around a funeral home, working alongside his family since he was a young teenager. David enlisted in the United States Army after high school and served our country during the Gulf War. After his return, David moved to Houston and has worked in the funeral home industry for over 35 years.
In his free time, David enjoys fine dining and trying new restaurants. He is also quite the movie hound.

Blake Sandlin

Blake Sandlin
Blake was raised in southeast Houston, attending school in the Deer Park Independent School District. Blake was involved in numerous academic clubs while attending high school, including Business Professionals of America and FCCLA. Blake is a graduate of Deer Park High School and San Jacinto College, where he obtained an Associate of Arts in Business. Blake has worked in numerous industries, including Banking, Transportation, and Funeral Services. But one thing remains the same, his commitment to outstanding customer service and desire to help others.
Blake enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to all corners of the globe. He is also known to be quite the foodie and a movie connoisseur.

Judy Bowers

Judy Bowers
Judy Bowers is a longtime resident of the Sagemont area. She has been an educator in the Pasadena Independent School District for 35 years. She was a second-grade teacher and acting assistant principal at Stuchbery Elementary School until 1986. She then took a position as assistant principal at Freeman Elementary for two years, then as principal there until her retirement in 2000.
After her retirement, she substituted for several years for assistant principals and principals in the district.
Since her retirement, Judy has continued to serve others at the funeral home for over ten years. “I feel privileged and blessed to work in an environment where families are all treated with dignity and respect.”
In her free time, Judy enjoys traveling and fellowship with friends. Judy has been an active member of Sagemont Church for many years.

Gayle Holder-Carter

Gayle Holder-Carter
Gayle Holder Carter is a lifelong resident of Pasadena and has served as an educator in the Pasadena Independent School District for 35 years.
She was a teacher at Golden Acres Elementary, Frazier Elementary, and Teague Elementary. She was the principal at Teague Elementary and later opened Sparks Elementary, where she was the Principal for 25 years before retiring.
After retiring from the school district, Gayle joined the staff of Niday Fairmont Funeral Home when it opened in 2007 and remained on staff when the funeral homes consolidated to the Beamer location. Gayle feels honored to serve families from Pasadena, Sagemont, and the surrounding areas.
Gayle is a member of South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena. She has a son, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter who is the bright light of her life.

Cathy Hughes

Cathy Hughes
Cathy Hughes joined the staff of Peevey Funeral Home in June 2021 after retiring as Chief of Staff for Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta. She had worked for Brazoria County for over 36 years. Her years of administrative experience and working with the public enables her to both assist the staff and families with the tasks required after the passing of a loved one.
Cathy is currently on the boards of the Brazoria County Historical Museum and Actions Inc. of Brazoria County, past board member for the Brazoria County Salvation Army, past president of Brazoria County Alliance for Children, past secretary of Keep Brazoria County Beautiful, and past president of West Pearland Republican Women.
Cathy is a resident of Pearland. Her joy is her three children and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading, traveling, and loves family gatherings.

Phil Sandlin

Phil Sandlin
Phil was raised in southeast Houston, attending school in the Pasadena Independent School District. Growing up, Phil was very active in Future Farmers of America, raising livestock to show in the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo. Phil graduated from Dobie High School and then San Jacinto College, majoring in Criminal Justice. He then entered law enforcement with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Phil later accepted a position with the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's Office, where he rose through the ranks, being appointed to the rank of Chief Deputy in 2005, where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the agency. In 2011, he was appointed Constable by the Harris County Commissioners' Court before winning the 2012 election, keeping his position, and he currently remains Constable.
Phil has always had a passion for helping and serving families in their time of need. In 2018, Phil joined the staff at Peevey Funeral Home, where he continues helping families in his off-time from the Constable’s Office. Phil assists with directing funeral services, helps with funeral arrangements, as well as advance planning.
Over the course of his 33-year career in law enforcement, Constable Sandlin has been proud to serve the citizens of this community and volunteers much of his time to area civic groups and organizations. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church in Pasadena. Phil is a member of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He is a Master Mason and member of the Deer Park Masonic Lodge #1362.
Phil and his wife, Nerissa, who is an In-Flight Supervisor for Southwest Airlines, reside in Deer Park and have two sons, Blake and Clayton. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
