William Toby Simmons, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 27th, 2022. Toby was preceded in death by his Grandparents Jack and Beatrice Simmons. Grandmother Esther Haley, and Grandfather Joseph Brossette; Aunt Kathleen Rebecek; Uncles Jerry Simmons, Terry Brossette, Doug Brossette, Dennis Free. Toby is survived by his parents, Jack and Corliss Simmons; brother Jason Simmons and his wife Carrie; nephew Hudson Simmons and niece Hadley Simmons; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Toby was born on October 6th, 1975 in Pasadena, TX. He graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1994 and spent most of his life in the Pasadena and Houston area. Toby held various jobs and roles throughout his life, working for Rice University and University of St. Thomas, but his proudest titles came in the last 10 years of his life. Uncle Toby loved spending time and spoiling his niece and nephew with Marvel movies, vintage toys, watching cartoons, and ensuring the next generation will share his love of 80's music, movies, and television. Toby also formed his own mobile computer repair company, appropriately named Aguynamedtoby. He had a diverse skill set to help his clients navigate the tech learning curve. His company quickly became more than IT support. It became a community of friends. His friends talk openly of his warm smile, gentle soul, kindness, and keen ability to keep our technology working when we'd rather throw it in the trash.

Toby also had a love for animals, and had a large fan club of basset hounds, bulldogs, and nearly every animal he encountered at friends and customers' homes.

Toby will be missed greatly. In the end, his final title will be that of a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, and someone that gave freely.

The family will host a Celebration of Life and receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 4th, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston 77089. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 5th in the Chapel at First Baptist Church Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, 77505.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
