Gary, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and continual witness to the love of Jesus Christ, went home to His Lord and Savior on June 12, 2024, at the age of 84. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Curran Goins and Eva Roberta Powell.

He is survived by his wife Ninabeth, son Brad (Patty) and his daughter Terry. Gary is further survived by his sister Nickie (Sonny), his grandson Blake (Evann), his granddaughter Alyssa, and his great granddaughter Scottie.

Gary was born on September 19, 1939, in Ft. Worth, TX.  After graduating high school, he joined the Army. He met the love of his life, Ninabeth, through a family member during his time in the Army and, what started as a pen pal relationship, became a marriage that lasted more than 60 years.

After being honorably discharged from the Army, Gary completed a bachelor's degree at the University of Houston. He spent most of his career in oilfield supply sales and, at one point, owned his own company.

Gary lived for his family and his Lord. If you saw Gary, you saw a warm smile on his face and a ballpoint pen in his shirt pocket. He loved to share Dad jokes – and would tell them again if no one (besides him) laughed the first time. He loved golf, baseball, slapstick comedy, and James Coney Island. So many of Gary's most treasured times simply involved being surrounded by family – watching sports, telling stories, or playing board or card games.
