Walter Edward Noack, Sr., 79, of Pearland, Texas passed away on Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Walter was born on April 30, 1942 to Johnnie and Frieda Noack in Winchester, Texas. After graduating from LaGrange High School in 1960, he went on to study Chemistry at Southwest Texas State University, where he met his wife of 58 years, the former Penny Pogue. They married in 1963 in Smithville, Texas. Shortly before graduation, he had his first child, Dorothy "Nena" Noack Meath.

After graduation, he began his career as a chemist for The Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas, where he worked until 1995. Walter and Penny lived in Lake Jackson, Texas for most of their adult lives and had two additional children. Walter "Edward" Noack, Jr. was born in 1971 and Alan Erich Noack was born in 1974. Walter and Penny were active members of the Jaycees, where they met many of their closest friends. Walter was very active at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Lake Jackson and was a coach of many soccer and baseball teams. He always had a garden in the back yard and made his kids go door to door giving away okra and tomatoes.

After retiring from Dow, Walter and Penny moved to Central Texas and enjoyed time in the country.

In addition to his wife, Penny, Walter is survived by his 3 children, Nena (Michael) Meath of Midland, Michigan; Edward (Michelle) of Midland, Michigan and Houston, Texas; Alan (Allison) of Pearland, Texas; his grandchildren, Marcus (Tiffany) Noack, Toyah (Pattrick) Wilborn, Callie and Sarah Meath, Curtis (Elizabeth) and Carigan Mitchell; and great-grandchildren, Hollie and Scarlett Noack, Mayson Mitchell and P.J. Wilborn; his two brothers, Wilbert (Carol) and Arthur (Diana) of Giddings, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being made by Peevey Funeral and Cremation, Houston, Texas. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 16, at 11:00am., in Serbin, Texas at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
