Walburga "Burgie" Clark, beloved mother, aunt and cousin passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

She was born December 30, 1929, in Woerrstadt, Germany to Heinrich and Katarina Hassinger. She studied studio photography and was employed at a local studio. Burgie met James F. Clark while he was stationed in Germany serving in the U.S. Air Force. They were married in 1960 and in 1964 their daughter, Diddy, was born.

In 1970 James retired and they moved to the United States, eventually settling in Sagemont in the South Belt area in 1972. Burgie worked for the Pasadena Independent School District in the cafeteria at Stuchbury Elementary and Moore Elementary.

She was a member of Sagemont Church where on Tuesday mornings, she volunteered to prepare materials for youth in Sunday School. She also volunteered as a cook for Wednesday night suppers.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Diddy Clark and numerous family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Peevy Funeral Home, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 4:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service.
