On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, Victoria (Vickie) Morgan received her ultimate reward and was welcomed home by Jesus, her parents, her brother Pat, and her daughter Jenny. She was born on September 24, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Sarah Frances and Eddie Dickerson.

Vickie married her college sweetheart, Bill. Early on, they made the decision to move to Pasadena to raise their three daughters, because of the reputation of its exceptional school district. Her daughters, son in law and grandsons are all products of Pasadena schools.  She was the first woman elected to serve as a Pasadena ISD Trustee and completed 39 years in that capacity.

Vickie served the youth through various organizations including Girl Scouts, YMCA, San Jacinto College, and her church, South Main Baptist, Pasadena. She volunteered with the PTA, at the local, council and district levels and organized the district's first intermediate level PTA. She served on the PISD Education Foundation Board and was one of the original city-appointed board members for the Pasadena Second Century Corporation. She served as Vacation Bible School and Sunday school directors and was involved in organizing many church wide events.

Vickie received many honors due to her commitment to children, including Texas, National and Extended Life PTA Memberships. She was named Leader of the Year by the Girl Scouts of America and Outstanding Young Women of America.  However, if you asked Vickie, she would say her greatest honor of all was serving the students, staff and community of PISD. She was blessed to witness the successes of the PISD students brought about by the dedication of the district's wonderful educators and employees.

Vickie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Morgan; her daughter Cheri Hutcherson, son in law Rodney and grandsons Carson and Will; daughter Stephanie Morgan, son in love to be David Biediger, and granddaughter Alyssa Meyer; brother Eddie Dickerson and sister-in-law Connie.

Vickie's life will be celebrated at First Baptist Church Pasadena Chapel on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11am. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
