Victoria Gabriela Frias, known to her loved ones as "Toya", 25, entered eternal rest on November 9, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Victoria is survived by her mother, Araceli Andrade, and her siblings, Elissa, Carolina, Maria, Adriana, Christopher and Genesis.

Victoria was born in Cortazar, Guanajuato, Mexico, on July 11, 1999. Victoria was doted as a child for her big eyes and imaginative stories. Victoria attended Houston Academy for International Studies Early College High School, in Houston, Texas, and graduated in 2017. She was beloved through her years in school for her kindness and unique sense of humor. Victoria worked at a law firm as a paralegal, assisting clients in estate and probate matters. Victoria was loved at her work place, known to be a peaceful presence and always willing to lend a compassionate ear to anyone.

Victoria loved to read, write, dance, spend time in nature and most of all, she loved to rescue animals. She had an unwavering sense of compassion for all living beings and would routinely rescue a host of animals. Throughout her life, she rescued dogs, cats, birds and turtles. If Victoria could have, she would have even rescued a cow, which was her favorite animal. At the age of 18, Victoria rescued her beloved dog, Cora, from BARC animal shelter in Houston, Texas. Victoria loved Cora dearly, and would spend a lot of time finding ways to make her happy. Victoria could often be found in Galveston, Texas, watching the ocean waves with Cora by her side. Victoria was not only a compassionate spirit, but she was a free spirit in the truest sense of the word.  As a true testament to her freedom and bravery, at only 16, Victoria gave herself a small tattoo, in defiance to her mother forbidding her from tattoos. Also known for her spontaneity, Victoria once took a road trip from Houston, Texas to New Mexico and Colorado on her own, with Cora faithfully by her side. One of Victoria's favorite things to do was to spend time with her friends, whom she deeply cherished. Above all, Victoria loved her family. She would be first to come up with ways for her family to get together. She continuously showed up for her family, and took special care in supporting her younger siblings through anything.

Victoria will be dearly missed by all on earth who loved her. Her friends and family will remember her and carry her in their hearts, always.

The family will welcome friends from 5pm-7pm, Friday, November 22, 2024, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, TX 77089. The service honoring Victoria's life will be held at 10am, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Peevey Funeral Home as well.  Interment will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
