Van Vincent Rodriguez, age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Born on September 18, 1960, in Bay City, Texas, he was the beloved son of Vicente M. and Carmel Rodriguez.

Known affectionately to his family as Vincent, he was a compassionate and loving soul with a sharp wit that endeared him to all who knew him. Vincent graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1986, earning a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. His deep appreciation for history and drama was evident in both his personal passions and professional life. Throughout his life, he found joy in giving back and dedicating time to raise funds for various charitable causes.

In his free time, Vincent enjoyed the simplicity and beauty of nature through camping, indulged in the nostalgia of old theater, and delighted in vintage thrift shopping, always appreciating the charm of the past.

Vincent is survived by his devoted mother, Carmel Rodriguez, and his siblings Joe and (Hermenia) Rodriguez, Nancy Nelson, Jesse Rodriguez, Norma and (David) Villa, Nora Rodriguez, and Eric and (Jennifer) Rodriguez. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Vicente M. Rodriguez, and his nephew, Joe Rodriguez Jr.

A celebration of Vincent's life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089, on Friday, October 25. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., followed by a service at 3 p.m. Friends and family are invited to a repast gathering afterward at The Gardens, 12001 Beamer Rd, Houston, Texas 77089.
