With heavy hearts, the family of Tuan Tommy Huy Duong shares the passing of our beloved son, husband, father, and friend, who left this world on October 9, 2026.
Tuan was born in Galveston, Texas, to his loving parents, Thanh Duong and The Nguyen. From a young age, Tuan was a sweet boy with a kind heart who was always loving and caring toward others. He was a wonderful son who deeply loved and respected his parents. Throughout his life, he continued to show his love through the little things he did for the people closest to him. He was thoughtful and caring, always paying attention to the smallest details to make sure his mom, dad, wife, and children felt loved and cared for.
Tuan was a wonderful son, husband, and father whose love for his family was shown through the smallest, most thoughtful acts of kindness. He was always thinking of others before himself, finding little ways to make sure the people he loved were comfortable, cared for, and happy. He would cook school lunch for his daughters, grab a sandwich for his wife, and bring her a cup of warm water every morning. He made sure his parents were taken care of by taking his mom and dad to their doctor appointments and being there whenever they needed him. These simple, everyday gestures were his way of expressing his love. Tuan often putting his family’s needs and happiness before his own. He never needed grand gestures to show how much he cared; his love was present in the little things he did every day. To Tuan, taking care of his family was more than a responsibility—it was how he loved them. These thoughtful acts, though they may have seemed small at the time, are now some of the most precious memories his family will carry in their hearts forever.
Tuan was a hard worker who took pride in what he did. To his coworkers, he was known as a funny guy who could bring laughter and joy to those around him. Outside of work, Tuan had a love for technology, watching sports, playing basketball and walking at the trail with his wife. He also enjoyed watching Korean dramas and YouTube videos. One of his special joys was practicing Vovinam with his daughters, creating meaningful memories and sharing his interests with them. Above all, Tuan was a loving husband and father whose thoughtfulness, kindness, and dedication to his family were evident in everything he did. His love was often shown through the little things, and those moments will forever remain treasured memories in the hearts of his family.
Tuan is survived by his loving parents, Thanh Duong and The Nguyen; his beloved wife, Tien Nguyen; and his precious daughters, Allie Duong and Kelsey Duong. He will be deeply grieved and missed by his extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Tuan will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Peevey Funeral Home. A wake service and Mass will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church, located at 10610 Kingspoint Road, Houston, TX 77075. An additional visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Peevey Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church, 10610 Kingspoint Road, Houston, TX 77075. Following the Mass, Tuan will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598.
Though we must say goodbye for now, Tuan will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by God’s love, and may his memory continue to bring comfort and strength to all who loved him.
For those who would like to support Tuan's family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe has been established in his loving memory. Any support, prayers, and kindness are deeply appreciated
