Toni Muse (November 20, 1947-July 2, 2022) fell asleep on Saturday evening and made her way to heaven unexpectedly but peacefully, leaving friends and family with so many wonderful memories of her infectious personality and her one-of-a-kind smile.

Mom left behind her heartbroken husband of 53 years Larry Muse. Her son Jason Muse, his wife Laurie and her 4 grandchildren Lyndon, Devon, Luke and Elle. Her sisters Waldine Ross and her Husband Jack Sr., Beverly Phillips, Betty-Sue Bradley and husband Curtis Sr. and joined her wonderful brother Doug in Heaven. Nephew's Jack Ross Jr and wife Elon, Joe David Phillips and wife Carolyn, Curtis Bradley Jr. and her niece Tonya Bentley and husband Ellis. Toni is also survived by so many more family members and friends and will be incredibly missed.

Daughter of Walterine and Gus Burnett, Toni grew up in the small east Texas town of Saratoga and was described by many as a small town "fireball". Mom made sure that she lived up to that description as a featured twirler in High School by twirling fire during half time at football games. The family and I were reminded of this special skill over the years after a few glasses of wine if she was lucky enough to find an object that resembled a baton! Mom simply had a way of lighting up a room or an event like no one I've known with her incredible smile and her wonderful set of vocal cords (built for talking not singing).

Toni met the love of her life and husband of 53 years 3 weeks before he was headed to Vietnam while in Virginia Beach to see Doug's child Tonya Bentley that had just been born. It was love at first sight, courtship over just a few weeks, an actual marriage proposal by mail (by dad) followed by a wedding in Hawaii while Larry was on a 5-day R&R that led to a 53-year commitment through richer or poorer, sickness and in health. While Dad's health wavered over the last few years moms remained strong and she was always there to help nurse him back to health.

Mom took an interest in Real Estate over 35 years ago and carved out an extremely successful career in the South Belt area of Houston over that time. Toni's infectious personality, quick wit, and ability to get feisty, when necessary, made her one of the top agents in the area and so many of her lifelong friends came from the real estate community.

Toni was all about her family and if you were her friend, she considered you family. Mom was always the first to comment on a Facebook post, send a message and if you were lucky enough to have her in person there was never a dull moment. Mom cherished her time with her son, her grandsons, and her close family more than anything. Toni was simply the greatest mom, wife, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend you could ask for and we will cherish every moment this incredible woman gave us until our last breath. We will all miss you and know that you were loved so very much by so many.

Visitation and the receiving of friends will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm Monday, July 11, 2022, at Peevey Funeral Home (12440 Beamer Rd. Houston, TX 77089). The funeral will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, July 12, 2022, also at Peevey Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately.
