Timothy Lee Cates, 65, passed away peacefully at his home, November 16, 2021. He was born August 22, 1956 in Pasadena, Texas to Roy and Robbie Cates.

Tim served in the Air Force for 11 years and was a B52 Bomber Crew Chief. He was later moved to the B1B project where he served with multiple duty assignments around the United States. Tim continued his post military career at NASA where he was assigned to the Guppy at Ellington Air Base with Northrop Aeronautics. He left the aeronautics field and continued on with the Postal Service where he worked in the electronics department until he retired.

Tim is survived by his wife of 23 years Solange Cates; sister Sandra Kay Russell, brother Kevin Cates and wife Sonya; son Noah Cates and wife Abigail, daughter Autumn Cates; Natalie Cates; Camila Souza; and his grandchildren Megan, Cassie, Kylie, and Emily.

Tim enjoyed fishing, and loved his dogs, Shorty and Sugar. He loved his wife, family, God and the United States of America.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, November 23, at Peevey Funeral Home, with visitation from 1:00pm-3:00pm prior to the service.
