Terry Ellen Reynolds, 78, of Webster, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Heart Hospital in Clear Lake on August 22, 2026. She was a cherished mother and grandmother and she will be deeply missed. She was born September 2, 1947 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Lowell and Mildred Vandike. She grew up in the world of carnivals, traveling all over Central Southwest US and as she got older, she worked in the carnival. She learned how to drive a truck when she was only 14 years old.

She met our father, Preston William Reynolds, when she was 16 and they married 2 days after she turned 18 in a small and simple ceremony in San Angelo, Texas. She is survived by 3 children, Elizabeth Ann Halsey, Preston William Reynolds, and Heather Lynnette Suttle, and 7 grandchildren, Dante William Reynolds, Derek Thomas Darling, Donald Frank Halsey, Joshua Nathaniel Reynolds, Jacob Matthew Reynolds, Caitlin Abigail Suttle, and Connor Christopher Suttle. Our father passed in 2005. She loved hearing stories about the grandkids and all their achievements. She would beam with pride every time. She also loved each of her sons-in-law and considered them her children as well, John T Halsey, and Christopher Arthur Suttle.

Mom deeply loved her children and grandchildren. Her life was focused on creating an environment where her children would be successful and teach them how to pass that success onto her grandchildren. She loved white and pink roses, monarch butterflies, vine ripened tomatoes, Morgan Freedman films, enchiladas, and O Holy Night. She was a Christian, loved reading the Bible, and praying to Jesus. She was smart, logical, and practical. She could make a dollar stretch like nobody else and make it look simple.

Let's remember her by two scriptures that exemplify her faith:

2 Corinthians 5:7 – "For we walk by faith, not by sight,"

John 3:16 – "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life"

A private graveside service was held on August 31 at the family gravesite at San Fernando Cemetery 3 in San Antonio, Texas.
