Our beloved son, husband, father, "Papi", and friend has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior. Terry Trent Dyess, 48, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021, at his home in Pearland, TX. His loving wife Kristi was by his side.

Trent was born to Franklin Terry and Jerry Sue (Eaton) Dyess on September 5, 1973, in Deer Park, TX.. He lived an idyllic, yet mischievous, eighties childhood with his friends in the Heritage Addition neighborhood of Deer Park. Their mischief made for great stories and forged lifelong friendships.

Fatherhood came early in life with the birth of his daughter Danielle, followed by Annalee, Madeline then Macie. An adoring father, his daughters brought him great joy, a joy that was multiplied by the arrival of his grandchildren Jayton, Gemma, Jordie, Lyla, Everleigh and Penelope. He was also able to give raising boys a try and was an amazing and loving father figure to Kristi's sons Kristopher and Casey.

Trent's devotion to his family was rivaled only by his devotion to health and fitness. He spent many hours building the muscular physique many knew him for. His muscles may have made him look intimidating, but underneath them he was a sentimental man with a soft heart and a contagious smile. He was thoughtful and generous with his love and loved making memories with his family. He especially loved decorating for, shopping for and celebrating Christmas. To further belie his tough-looking exterior, he collected coins, Astroworld memorabilia, antiques and oddities; loved trains; and tended bonsai.

A rare "Jack of all trades", and an even rarer master of them all, Trent could build, create, or fix anything. He was incredibly creative and industrious, and his talents are showcased in the beautiful home and backyard oasis he created with Kristi.

Trent attended San Jacinto Junior College where he studied Information Technology. He worked in IT for over twenty years.

Trent is preceded in death by his father Franklin Terry Dyess. He is survived by his wife Kristi Bowen; mother Jerry Sue Dyess and her husband Darryl LaCompte; brother Christopher Dyess and his wife Shannan; daughter Danielle Dyess and fiancée Alex Rhodes; daughter Annalee Medina and her husband Zackary; daughter Madeline Dyess; daughter Macie Dyess; stepson Kristopher Barrera; stepson Casey Bowen; and many other family members and friends.

The Celebration of his life will be officiated by Pastor John Davis at noon on Saturday, Nov. 13 at New Hope Church, 288 Campus, 3640 CR 58, Manvel, TX 77578.
