Tasca Gray Plunkett was called home by our Lord and Savior on September 22, 2022. She was born on April 4, 1938 in Henderson, Texas to Robert Lee Gray and Adrian Burton. She grew up alongside her brother Robert "Bubba", and her sisters Cheryl and Libby in Goodpine, Louisiana. Tasca was a graduate of Jena High School, where she was a member of the 1956 State Championship basketball team, as well as the volleyball and softball teams and she was a Majorette and Senior Drum Major with the Jena High School Band. Tasca also attended college for a year in Rustin, Louisiana at Louisiana Tech University. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert, on August 17, 1957 and they spent 63 years selflessly devoted to one another.

Tasca and Robert spent the majority of their married life in Pasadena, Texas. Tasca happily and whole-heartedly embraced her role as a wife and mother to their three children, Karen, Janet and Kenneth. She cultivated a vibrant home and faithfully served her family, raising her children to know and love the Lord. In her free time, she enjoyed painting on woodwork, creating floral arrangements and hosting showers and gatherings for friends and family. Her and Robert were happiest when spending time with their growing family. The grandchildren spent numerous summer days swimming in their pool while Tasca served cake, homemade ice cream, popsicles, and lemonade. Everything Tasca did in loving and serving those around her was a reflection of the love she knew from her Heavenly Father. She was a faithful member of South Main Baptist church in Pasadena, Texas for over 30 years and enjoyed being involved in the Sunday School department.

Tasca was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Robert Plunkett, parents Robert Lee Gray and Adrian Burton Gray and her brother Robert Gray. She is survived by her sisters Cheryl Willis and husband James, Libby May and husband Steve, sister-in-law Margaret Gray, her children Kenneth Plunkett and wife D'Ann, Janet Moore and husband Keith, and Karen Ingalls and husband Billy, her grandchildren Amanda Kaufmann and husband Cody, Adrienne Gutierrez and husband Mark, Aaron Taylor and wife Melissa, Andy Ingalls, Megan Berry and husband Hunter, Anna Ingalls, Morgan Mobley and husband Chase, Austin Ingalls, Ethan Plunkett, Annelise Brasher and husband Nathan, and Brandon Moore, and her great-grandchildren Cade Kaufmann, Chloe Kaufmann, Cora Kaufmann, Charlotte Kaufmann, Eden Taylor, Owen Taylor, Meleah Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Greyson Gutierrez, Lyla Gutierrez, Benny Gutierrez, Hayden Berry, and James Brasher.

Please join us in celebrating Tasca's life at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 East Sam Houston Pkwy S, Pasadena, TX 77505. The visitation will be held at 9:15am with the memorial service following at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 27th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Tasca's name to South Main Baptist Church (4300 E. Sam Houston Pkwy. S, Pasadena, TX 77505) to help others in the charities that the church supports.
