Sue Ann Knight went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 26, 2024.  She was born on November 30, 1946, in Houston, Texas to Robert Leroy Shook and Anna Lee Russell Shook. She was a member of Sagemont Church.

Sue Ann grew up in southeast Houston, where she graduated from Milby High School in 1965 as class salutatorian. She attended the University of Houston, receiving bachelor's and master's degrees in education.

Her teaching career, which lasted 42 years, was with the Pasadena Independent School District. She enjoyed teaching many children until her retirement in 2013. Most of these years were at Stuchbery Elementary, teaching third grade. She also taught at Matthys Elementary and Bailey Elementary.  She was a very dedicated teacher.  Her students loved her and she loved them. They were "her kids"!

Sue Ann's laugh was contagious and her attitude was always positive.  She enjoyed life to the fullest!  She loved to dance, travel, shop, garden, and watch movies, especially those on the Hallmark channel.  She had a few "soaps" that she recorded so she wouldn't miss a single episode.

Sue Ann leaves her nephews Randall Shook and Harley Shook, great niece Haley Hawkins (Jacob), their daughters Ella and Callie, and great nephew Tanner Hawkins. She also leaves her cousins Bobby Crenshaw (Kris) from Jacksonville, Florida, Noreen Lafferty (John) from Lincoln, California, and Michael Harmon (Cindy) from Santa Rosa, California.

In addition, she will be greatly missed by her many friends who considered her to be a part of their families.

We will always remember Sue Ann with much love and give thanks to God for all of the wonderful memories we made with her.

The service celebrating Sue's life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, at 2:00pm. Burial will be privately held at Forest Park East Cemetery.
