Steve Michael Alford, 57, a cherished member of his community, passed away on April 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and service to his country. Born on August 18, 1966, Steve was known for his unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and his country. After graduating from high school, Steve proudly served 7 years in the military, demonstrating bravery and honor during his service. Steve became a sergeant in the US Army and after studying law enforcement, became a Military Police Officer and spent time overseas in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Following his military tenure, Steve pursued various endeavors, always embodying the values of integrity and hard work. Steve worked for his father Richard Alford in the exhibit service business and eventually founded his own company Exhibitors Service Network. An avid lover of the great outdoors, Steve found solace and joy in nature's beauty, eagerly exploring the world around him with an adventurous spirit. Whether hiking through lush forests or camping under the stars, Steve's love for the outdoors was infectious to all who knew him. Steve pursued his love for flying by studying for his pilot's license and eventually buying his own airplane.

He leaves behind a legacy of service, resilience, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Steve will be deeply missed by his family, including his beloved son Bennett, his mother, Sandra Conrad, his step mother, Peggy Ricketts, his brother, Scott Alford, and his sister, Stacey Nickens, and a multitude of friends and colleagues who will cherish his memory forever. His legacy of dedication, love for nature, and his ability to find humor in all situations will continue to inspire us all.

The family will receive friends at Peevey Funeral Home,Tuesday, May 14, from 5:30pm until 6:30pm the service will follow at 6:30pm.

Interment will be held at Houston National Cemetery, Wednesday May 15, at 10:45am.
