Stephanie Rae Lacombe, beloved wife, mother, daughter, friend, and faithful servant of God, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family and friends, August 23, 2026.

Born in Butler, Pennsylvania, to Kenneth Burnell Fair and Gaile Jane Stiteler, March 15, 1972. Stephanie spent most of her formative years in the League City area. She graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1990 and went on to complete her education at The University of Texas, Austin.

Stephanie was the devoted wife of nearly 20 years to Justin Lacombe and the loving mother of Carter Edward, Emma Grace, Noah Allen, and Jules Stella, all of Friendswood. Being a mother was one of the greatest joys of her life. She never hesitated to open her heart and home to her children's friends or to mother any young person who needed a little extra love. She also had a special place in her heart for every furry friend who came into her life.

There was very little Stephanie wouldn't take on. No project was too big, no job too difficult, and no challenge too daunting. She did the hard things. For more than 15 years, she courageously fought breast cancer, facing countless treatments, uncertainty, and difficult days with extraordinary strength and determination. Through it all, she remained a devoted mother, wife, friend, homemaker, volunteer, cook, and party planner. Even during the hardest seasons, she was grateful for every day God gave her with the people she loved.

Stephanie was endlessly talented and creative. She had an incredible eye for beauty and could transform any space into something warm, welcoming, and beautiful. She especially loved decorating for the holidays and creating magical Christmas spaces—not only in her own home, but in the homes of anyone lucky enough to ask for her help. She was always ready with an idea, a project, a meal, or a helping hand.

Stephanie cared deeply about people and was passionate about the causes she believed in. When someone was in need, she didn't simply offer help—she went the extra mile. Her generosity, compassion, and willingness to serve others touched countless lives.

Above all, Stephanie's greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind her husband, Justin; her children, Carter, Emma, Noah, and Jules; and a large circle of family and friends who were blessed to know her. Her life was a testament to courage, faith, love, creativity, and the importance of making the most of the time God gives us.

Stephanie's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has surrounded them with love, prayers, kindness, generosity, and care during these past several weeks. Every act of support has meant more than words can express.

Celebrating Stephanie's Life: Family and friends are invited to celebrate Stephanie's life at a visitation on Wednesday, August 26, from 5:00–7:00pm at Hope Village Community Center, 15403 Hope Village Road, Friendswood, TX 77546.

A service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, August 27, at 5:30pm at Sagemont Church's Hughes Road Auditorium, 11300 S. Sam Houston Parkway E. Houston, TX 77089, with a reception to follow at Hope Village Community Center.

In keeping with Stephanie's wishes, attendees are encouraged to dress casually and wear white, khaki, or light blue.

Stephanie will be deeply missed, but her love, faith, laughter, generosity, and beautiful spirit will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
