It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Shirley Ann Satcher, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and beloved friend to many. Shirley passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 91.

Born on September 3, 1933, in Houston, Texas, Shirley brought light and joy into the world from the very beginning. A proud graduate of Austin High School in 1952, she captivated many as the school's majorette and lead baton twirler—her grace and leadership evident even then.

Shirley made her home in Pasadena, Texas, where she lived a life filled with faith, family, and unwavering love. Her presence in the community was a beacon of compassion and strength, and her home was a sanctuary of warmth and wisdom. A true matriarch, Shirley was the cornerstone of her family, leading by example with quiet strength, unconditional love, and a faith that never wavered.

She had an extraordinary gift for making those around her feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her wise counsel, warm embrace, and perfectly timed stories were a comfort and joy to all who knew her. To be in Shirley's presence was to know kindness in its purest form.

Shirley's life was rooted in her deep and abiding faith. Her trust in God guided her through life's challenges and triumphs alike, and she served as an inspiration to all who witnessed her steadfast devotion.

She was preceded in death by, John Henry Satcher; her father, Clyde Lemmon, and her mother, Anona Ready Bennigan.

Shirley leaves behind a legacy of love in her family: Her two daughters, Terri Lynn Butler and husband Les, and Stacy Lane Perdew and husband Ted. Her grandchildren: Kristin Meagher (husband Steve), Eric Perdew (wife Mindy), Jennifer Butler, Matt Butler (wife Lauren), Kellie Shanley (husband Ryan), and Katy Jackson (husband Dillon). Her great grandchildren: Haley, Erica, Bransen, Aiden, Sadie, Calum, Sarah, Luke, Kate, Andrew, Ellie, and Nolan and her great-great-granddaughter, Millie.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at First Baptist Church, located at 7500 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, TX 77505. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM.

As we honor Shirley's memory, may we continue to reflect her enduring spirit—one of love, kindness, and faith. Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
