Shirley Ann Rambin passed away peacefully at her home on September 22, 2022, in Houston, Texas after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 86. Shirley was born June 9, 1936, in Diboll, Texas, the first child of W C and Ruby Vansau. She was the beloved sister to two brothers: Joe Bill Vansau and Gary Lee Vansau. Shirley married Ronnie McKinney in 1954, where they made their home in Pasadena, Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother of four children.

Shirley had been a faithful member of Sagemont Church over thirty years and was a mighty prayer warrior. She always loved sharing the word of Jesus Christ. Shirley retired from Pearland Independent School District as a Paraprofessional. She had many long-standing friendships from her years at Challenger Elementary School.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents W.C, and Ruby Vansau, brother Joe Bill Vansau, grandson Brandon Lee Haynes, and daughter-in-law Delonda McKinney. She leaves behind her children Glenn and wife Christine McKinney, Rhonda Baldwin, Cheryl and husband Mark Meyers, Jim and wife Stephanie McKinney, stepson Keith and Missy Rambin, stepdaughter Vanessa and Troy Gronas, and brother Gary Vansau and wife Joan. Shirley also leaves behind twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all whom she loved dearly. She loved spending time with family, especially playing games and having fun with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would make special occasions extra special.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to everyone who assisted in taking loving care of our mom thru her illness during these past few years.

The Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd., Houston 77089, with visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00am. Shirley will be privately laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena.
