Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on November 13, 2025. Sheila was born November 4, 1936 in Blackburn, England. Sheila was baptized at St Anne's Catholic Church in Blackburn, where she also attended school, church and ultimately married her husband, William Hanna, whom she lovingly called Billy.  Sheila was adored by the St Anne Church head mistress for various reasons, including her participation in the choir and speech competitions.

Billy and Sheila were married on February 23, 1957 and enjoyed sixty-eight years together.  In 1968, the two agreed to move to America.  Billy found work in Pasadena, Texas and flew to get settled. Later that year, Sheila traveled alone to Texas with their two young boys, Michael, age seven, and Neil, age two. Like her school and later her work commute in England, Sheila walked a mile to and from her job when first coming to Texas. Sheila would serve as a den mother for Michael's Cub Scout troop, and later she worked at their newly opened family business.

Aside from being a loving wife and mother, Sheila spent her retirement time spoiling her grandsons and great grandsons, crocheting afghans, working in her gardens, and going for walks with her dear friends. Mostly a result of her husband Billy's joking, the Hanna household was filled with constant smiles and laughter.

Sheila was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Lord, and son, Neil Hanna. Sheila is survived by her husband William, sister Kathleen Irwin, son Michael and daughter-in-law Michelle Hanna, two grandchildren, David and Zachary Hanna, granddaughter-in-law Elissa Hanna, and two great-grandchildren, John-Parker and Lincoln Hanna.

The Celebration of Life for Sheila Hanna will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 6, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, TX 77089.
