Sheila Rivers Cobb, 76, of Deer Park, Texas, departed for Heaven on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Sheila was born on September 5, 1946, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Amos and Lena Rivers. She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1964. After High School she married her high school sweetheart John Cobb on April 30, 1965. They spent many great years together and had two wonderful children, Trina Cobb Stiff and Craig Cobb.

Sheila was a dedicated wife to her husband and loving mother to her daughter and son, and caring grandmother/great grandmother to her grandchildren. After an 8 year stint at the telephone company, her compassion led her to be a stay-at-home mother for her daughter and eventually her son. She played many roles as a stay-at-home mother and homemaker including, professional chef, maid service provider, doctor and counselor.  Sheila's favorite time was family time, and it usually included a pot of her famous gumbo, she really did enjoy having everyone get together for fellowship and a great meal. Her greatest gift was her faith to Jesus that she spread to her entire family and it is what keeps us strong.

Sheila is preceded in death by her husband John Cobb, parents Amos and Lena Rivers.

Sheila is survived by, daughter Trina Cobb stiff and husband John Stiff; son Craig Cobb and wife Jessica Cobb; grandson Christofer Howard and wife Evelyn Howard and great granddaughter Hadley Howard; and a number of Nieces and Nephews.

The memorial service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Sunday, August 20th at 3:00pm. Family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.
