Sharon Marie Macha, born May 7, 1942, passed peacefully into the arms of our Father on Friday, August 19, 2022. "Sissy" was born in Port Neches, Texas. She grew up in Beaumont, Texas, with her loving parents, Rena and Bill, and brother, Donny.

Sissy graduated from South Park High School in 1960. She continued her education at Sam Houston State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in English. She later moved to the Houston area and found her calling as an elementary school teacher. Sissy taught for Channelview ISD from 1965 until 1997. Due to illness, she regrettably retired after 32 years of service. When asked why she didn't have children of her own, she replied "I have several children, my students."

Sis loved black and white movies and curling up with a good book. She enjoyed all types of music, but especially Rhythm and Blues. She liked having the accessibility of living in a big city, and got to visit her favorite big city, New York, NY on a few occasions. In her heyday, she made sure her nails were manicured, her clothes and sunglasses were in high fashion, her lipstick was red, and hair was as big as Texas.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Adam Curley Broussard, her mother, Rena Mae Goins, stepfather (Daddy), Louis "Bill" Clinton Goins, and brother, Donald Louis Goins. She is survived by her nieces Erin Goins and Angie (Shane) Dore,' and great nephews, Connor Dore' and Ethan Dore'.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, August 26, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Beaumont, Texas. Interment will follow the service at China Cemetery in China, Texas.
