Sandra Nichols Miller, better known as "Sandi", of Pearland, TX was born on the 20th of September, 1948, and passed away on the 10th of June, 2024, at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was an adored wife, beloved mother, grandmother of five, and friend to all. She had a passion for people and building relationships. She never met a stranger!

Sandi, aka "Nan", is survived by her husband, David Howard Miller, aka "Pops", their children; daughter Nichole Pilcher and family, son Chad Miller and daughter-in-love Melissa, and son Cory Miller and daughter-in-love Raecee, and their beloved grandchildren Caitlyn Breann, Chasidy Brooke, Ally Rayne, Avery Cay, and Cash Foster. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Harvey and Doris June Crago Nichols.

Sandi has always had the biggest heart, and this was never more evident than with her volunteer work with the Texas Citizen Police Academy where she co-chaired the scholarship committee for the Region 1 area. Her involvement with the organization included regional and state meetings along with local volunteer work at various events. You could always find Sandi and David parking cars for the CPA on a Friday night. Next April, Sandi would have celebrated her 30th anniversary with Flight Safety International where she served in various roles throughout her career.

Sandi also had a passion for all things Disney.  She enjoyed taking friends and family on trips to experience "her" Disney adventure. If she was not celebrating with Jiminy Cricket, you could find her enjoying Harry Potter World while savoring the world-famous Disney Dole Whip. She even started dabbling in the art of collective pin trading, going so far as creating her very own pin display board.

Above all these things, she instilled in her family imagination, humor, kindness, happiness, pride, amazement, strength, responsibilities, and a caring nature. She had a way with words and expressed her thoughts and feelings through her love of poetry.  Sandi was never shy about sharing her words with those that she loved. These memories will be some of the greatest treasures she left with us.

The family would like to express our thanks to the medical team at MD Anderson, local Hospice services and the support of friends who continue to pray, send cards, and offers of their love.

Sandi's Celebration of Life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home in Houston on Saturday, the 15th of June, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
