Samuel B Fillingim, Jr.  went to be with his Lord and savior on August 15, 2025. He was born on Christmas day in 1960. That was a probably a good indicator of how special a person he would be. The best Christmas present a parent could ask for.

He was born to Samuel B Fillingim Sr. and DeLores Fillingim. He was the middle child of 5.

He is preceded in death by his father Samuel B Fillingim Sr, his grandmother Lillie Mae Layfield and his precious son Samuel B Fillingim III.

He is survived by his mother DeLores Fillingim, Sisters Carla Pritchett and Reneè Fillingim-Reyes (Maria) all from Pearland TX and Kathi Fillingim of Eureka Springs Arkansas and his brother Michael Fillingim (Debbie) of Naperville Illinois and 8 nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his daughters Sarah Wright (Kyle) of Murray KY and Rebecca Siler (John) of Murray KY. 7 grandchildren; Ezra Alora Tabitha Siler, 20, Theda Rose Siler, 18, Isaiah Alexander Fillingim, 15, Delilah Eleven Lewis, 15, Madison Marie Andersen, 11, Noah Samuel Wright, 4, Ella Irene Wright, 2.

He was a mechanic by trade but he was truly a brilliant mind and could fix or build anything. His intelligence gave him a potential that truly was unlimited. He spent a good amount of years teaching automotives. He worked as a mechanic for dealerships and for awhile on his own.

He battles a multitude of health issues and we all would always say that he is proof that God does not take you until he is ready for you. Unfortunately for us left behind, God was ready for him to come home and his mission here on earth was complete. Although he is absent in body with us, he will always be with us in heart. He is now present with The Lord, his father and his son and that brings us tremendous peace. We know we all will be together again one day, so dad, save us all a seat and we will see you soon. Hug lil Sam tight for us.

The family will celebrate his memory privately at a later date.
