Sallie Elizabeth Bonner, "Memom," entered into the presence of our Lord on August 26th, 2021. Sallie was born in Houston, Texas on January 20th, 1938 to Milton and Olga Tucker. She was the "DE Sweetheart" at Pasadena High School and graduated in 1956. Upon her graduation, she married Jerry Bonner on August 17th, 1956. She was a long-time member at Golden Acres Baptist Church and current member at First Baptist Church, Pasadena. They had three children, Deborah (1959), Karen (1961), and Daren (1965) and shared a wonderful life together, until Jerry's death in 1998.

Sallie is survived by her daughter, Karen Tucker and husband David, and son, Daren Bonner and wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her brother, Ross Tucker and wife Cheryl; sister, Barbara Way; three granddaughters, Meghan Mitchell and husband Scott, Hannah Deutschendorf and husband Aaron, and Emily Burden and husband James; two grandsons, Adam Tucker and wife Ashley, and Petty Officer First Class Joshua Tucker and wife Madelyne; nine great-grandchildren, Abby Tucker, Avery Mitchell, Jack Deutschendorf, Kennedy Mitchell, Wyatt Tucker, Margaret Burden, Annie Deutschendorf, Thomas Burden, and Benjamin Burden; and numerous other family members.

Sallie is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Deborah; and parents, Milton Tucker and Thomas and Olga Reed.

Sallie was everyone's biggest prayer warrior and a faithful Christian servant. She will be missed by many, but we find comfort in our Savior, Jesus, and the promise of heaven. "The death of His faithful ones is valuable in the Lord's sight," Psalm 116:15.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for His appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8

The funeral service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 1, at 1:00pm, with visitation a half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
