Russell Clark Condit, 84, was born on March 4, 1942, in Washington, PA, to William L. Condit and Jean O Porter. Russell passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

As a young man Russell worked the farms in Beallsville, PA and caddied at golf courses in the area. He was a loving brother to his sister Beverly, his mother Jean, and Grandmother GG Porter along with other family members and friends. He was also extremely close to his grandfather Raymond Porter. He was baptized in the Methodist church also in Beallsville. He was also a member and donor to St. Luke's Catholic church in Houston, Texas.

He proudly served his country in the Air Force stationed in Korea and Japan and other bases in the US. He achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. While in the Air Force he met and married his loving wife Tina. A marriage that spanned 61 years.

Russell attended Penn State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Logistics. While at Penn State his son, Jeffrey, was born. He remained a loyal fan of Penn State football until the very end.

After graduation he went to work for Texaco where he remained for 30 years before retiring in 2001. Russell achieved the title of VP and Business Services Manager of International Aviation Sales.  He also received numerous performance awards.

Russell was a prolific reader throughout his life. He was also a proud member of Texaco Country Club for about 50 years until its closure. He served on the Board of Directors and gave his time and effort to the golf course. Golf was his passion and he developed loving friendships that would last until his passing.

During Russell's retirement he went on over 50 cruises with his loving wife Tina. These cruises spanned across the world.

Russell was preceded in death by his mother Jean Porter, father William Condit, namesake and nephew Russell Guthrie, and numerous other friends and relatives that he loved and who loved him.

He is survived by his adoring wife Tina, loving son Jeffrey, sister Beverly Guthrie, Brother in Law Julian Guthrie, nephew Scott Guthrie, and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

A memorial service for Russell will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Saturday, October 10, at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to the service.
