Rumalda Chavez Lopez, 81, of Pasadena, TX went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2023. She was a hardworking woman and she prepared her children to be independent, equipped in mind and spirit to handle whatever life may bring them.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Chavez; mother, Severa Chavez; brother, Jesus Chavez, Jr.; and sister Beatrice Garza.

She is survived by her loving children, Elizabeth (David) Williams, of Pearland, TX; Diana (Daniel) Pacheco of Crosby, TX; Angelita Maldonado of Pasadena, TX; Agustin (Alma) Colunga of Pasadena, TX; and Sandra (Richard) Rodriguez of Pasadena, TX; siblings, Virginia Saldana of Harlingen, TX, Ruben Chavez of Harlingen, TX and Linda Gonzales of Harlingen, TX; and 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at The Park at Bay Area of Pasadena, TX and Hospice Plus of Clearlake, TX, for the care, the compassion and kindness they provided our mom.
