Roy Hawk Jr. was born July 3, 1944 in Athens, Ohio to Freda Sapp and Roy Emerson Hawk Sr.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earl Clickenger, Jr.

Survived by wife Cynthia Hawk, stepchildren Nathan and Lynda, husband Clint, 3 step grandchildren, daughter, Michelle and husband Brent Carr, 3 grandchildren, Ashlynn Coyle, Morgan Carr, Austin Carr, 2 great grandchildren, sister Linda Rose and husband Leon, sister Jodi Lenhart and loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

Roy was a Green Beret, in the Special Forces in the United States Army 101st and 82nd Airborne divisions, completing two tours in Vietnam.

He retired from Union Pacific, formerly Southern Pacific Railroad as an engineer with 38 years of service.

Roy loved to travel and hunt, but his greatest passion was cars and racing.
