Rosa Ana Salas, "Mamo," entered her blessed hope on Monday, August 30, 2021. She was born in Robstown, Texas to the late Ramon and Socorro Soliz.

Rosa was a proud graduate from Robstown High School in the bicentennial year, 1976. She was into culinary arts through her high school and from a very young age she was dedicated to servanthood by caring for her disabled sister. At the age of twenty, she became a certified nursing assistant and she was proud to work with pediatrics in Corpus Christi, Texas.

A few years later, she moved to Houston for a great job opportunity. It is there that she met the love of her life and father to her three children. In Houston, she reconfirmed her salvation with Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. As the years passed, she served the church as a Sunday school teacher, led a Missionettes class for young girls and worked faithfully for church fundraisers.

Rosa was naturally gifted to serve God and others in need. She will be remembered for being a selfless, caring light in the dark place. If she knew how to do one thing, it was to pray. She prayed in silence and without ceasing. We felt she could touch the hand of God when she prayed for our needs. Rosa was always dedicated to her family as she assisted in raising her grandchildren. She always expressed that besides God, they were the center of her life.

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Socorro Soliz; sister, Cynthia Soliz; brother, Avilio Soliz; father-in-law, Isabel Salas; mother-in-law, Agustina Salas; and grand-dog, Foxy.

She is survived by her daughter, Misty Nicole Perez and husband Hugo; sons, Juan Salas Jr. and Brandon Lee Salas; grandchildren, Erubiel Perez and JohnRoss Perez; father to her children, Juan Salas Sr.; sisters, Mary Jane Flores, Santa Ana Hernandez and husband Noe; brothers, Roman Soliz and wife Elma, Jose Soliz; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and grand-dogs, Bear, Bella and Ellie.

The visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 5pm to 8pm in the chapel of Peevey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 3pm., also in the chapel of Peevey Funeral Home.
