Rodney Keith Waldrop went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 16, 2021 in Houston, TX at the age of 78.

Keith is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra, his son, Brian, his sister, Candy Waldrop, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and large church family.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Chad Waldrop, mother, Gladys Waldrop, father, Carmen Waldrop, brother, Rick Waldrop, and baby sister.

Keith was born in Houston, TX on December 2, 1942, where he spent his entire life. Between September 1960 and November 1963, he served his country in the United States Navy. On January 31, 1969, Keith married his wife, Sandra, and together, they raised two sons, Brian and Jeffery. He worked as an Industrial Painter for the Shandee Corporation for 30 years before opening his own painting business where he served the Houston area until his retirement.

Keith was a faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ and accepted Christ into his life at the age of 17. He served as a senior greeter at Sagemont Church for many years. He loved being at the church each week visiting with his friends and studying God's word. Keith attributed his growing faith in Jesus to the teachings of his Bible Study leader, Chuck Cummings. He truly enjoyed attending his Bible Study group and joining in fellowship with them as they walked together with the Lord.

Keith never knew a stranger and became friends with everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family, and all who had the honor of knowing him.

We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8

The service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 22, at 11:00am., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.
