Robert Vernon Scroggins passed away at his home on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was born on September 28, 1953. He was the youngest of six children born to Buford and Perry Lee Scroggins.

Robert lived his entire life in the Houston area. He grew up racing and working on cars with his brothers. It was a hobby that stayed with him until the end. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He could always be counted on to be there for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, going out to the races, and talking about anything involving cars.

Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years Kathryn Scroggins, his eldest daughter Lisa (Scroggins) McDonald, son-in-law Brandon McDonald, his three grandchildren, Keira Vajdos-McDonald, Connor Vajdos-McDonald, and Madison McDonald, and his sister Rebecca Busic.

He is preceded in death by his parents Buford and Perry Lee, sister Mary Jones, brothers Melvin Scroggins, Perry Scroggins, and Charles Scroggins, and his youngest daughter Sarah (Scroggins) Puente.
