Robert John McReynolds of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the age of 85. He was born on October 24, 1938 in Amarillo, Texas to Robert John McReynolds MD and Carrie Atheleen McReynolds.  He attended Park Place Elementary, James S. Deady Junior High School, Charles H. Milby High School Class of 1957, Trinity University of San Antonio and The University of Houston. He was married to Lacretia Akin McReynolds for 59 plus years. He had numerous professions. He was a chemist, worked at Brown and Root in quality control, owned his own Pest Control Business for twenty years and retired as an independent insurance adjuster. He loved coaching youth sports, hunting, fishing and was an avid golfer, which he was a member of the Bandit's Golf Club. He was a fifty plus year member of the Park Place Masonic Lodge, a longtime member of Kirkwood South Christian Church, Disciple of Christ, where he served as committee chair member, deacon, and elder.  His happy time was when he was riding his John Deere green tractor to mow the fields at the ranch in Sublime, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert John and Atheleen McReynolds, sisters Marcella Ann McReynolds, Sarah Jane Abbott Koch, and brother-in-law Charles Koch, father-in-law Lester Akin and mother-in-law Jeanette Akin.

Bob is survived by his daughters Teri Wolff, husband Ray, and Carrie McCleery, and husband Sam. He is also survived by his grandchildren Emily and husband Thomas (Slim) Jones, Katie and husband Henry Rivera, Clay and wife Emily Wolff, Allison and husband Makena Hess, Ansley McCleery, Audrey McCleery and Samuel Aiden McCleery.  His great-grandchildren include Abbie Wolff, Alyssa Rivera, Devian Rivera, Kyndal Jones, Hadley Rivera, Korbin Jones, and Avenly Hess. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

His Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 1:00pm, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089. The interment will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 2 pm at Stockdale Cemetery, Stockdale, Texas 78160.
