Robert "Bob" Peter Drouillard, Jr., age 78, passed away surrounded by his loved ones after a short battle with cancer on February 2, 2023, in Pearland, TX. Bob was born on December 31, 1944, in Monroe, Michigan where he often joked that the entire world celebrated his birthday for New Year's. He was born to Robert Drouillard, Sr. and Marjorie Eva Roe, was raised alongside Mary Helen Drouillard and Bob Sr., and was the eldest among his four dearest brothers. At age 14, he moved to Pasadena, TX, where he attended Pasadena High School. He enlisted into the Navy, serving his country on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga during the Vietnam War as a Boiler Technician 3rd class Petty Officer, where he operated the catapults for planes taking off the deck.

He is predeceased by his father and biological mother. He is survived by his wife, Linda Drouillard; his de-facto mother, Mary Helen Drouillard; his brothers Tommy Drouillard, Gary Drouillard, Randy Drouillard, and David Drouillard; and his two sons, Kevin Drouillard and Craig Drouillard, along with his daughter-in-law Andrea Drouillard and granddaughter Sophia Drouillard, who was his pride and joy. Bob also had numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, friends, colleagues, and shipmates, who he loved unconditionally.

Bob was a giving and gregarious man, whose generosity was always met with an indelible and infectious smile that could brighten even the darkest days. He had many dogs, also known as "the boys", to accompany him throughout his wonderful life over the years. He was passionate about cars and engines, being raised into the family Mobil station business. He enjoyed cooking and sharing a hearty meal or eating out at the local Tex-Mex, seafood, or Asian bistro. He was a bourbon enthusiast, who was delighted to take in a brackish glass after a long day. His colleagues will tell you he had an imaginative eye, working as an engineer throughout his career where his mentorship was always appreciated and legacy will be sorely missed.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd., Houston 77089. His remains will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
