Robert Lane Baker was born on March 9, 1932 to Ernst and Mary Powell Baker in East Liverpool, Ohio. He passed away on October 31, 2021 at Baywind Nursing Facility in League City, Texas.

Rev. Baker was licensed with the United Pentecostal Church and ministered in Tennessee, Ohio, and Texas. He also started churches in Amsterdam, New York and Manchester, Connecticut. He served in the Eastern District of the UPCI as presbyter of Connecticut Section and pastored the Apostolic Gospel Church in Upper Sandusky, Ohio for twenty years.

He is survived by one brother, Phil and Audrey Baker of Pataskala, Ohio; four sons, Timothy and Susan Baker of Sandusky Ohio, Clark and Bonnie Baker of Hamilton, Ohio, Greg Baker of London, Ohio, and Steven Baker of Eaton, Ohio; two daughters, Winifred Sue and Dave Doughty of Eaton, Ohio and Nicole Wise of Raymore, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Baker; and a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three wives, Patricia Clark Baker, Carolyn Baker, and Jean Olson Baker. He was also preceded by his parents, Ernst and Mary; four sisters, Charlotte Baker, Leoma Harding, Lyda Kornmiller, and Faith Hurst; and two brothers, David Baker and Chuck Baker.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 7:00 pm., with visitation one hour prior to the service at Christ Church Apostolic, 12815 Fuqua Street, Houston, Texas 77034. Rev. Jon Paul McDaniel officiating.

A second memorial service will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, a sharing of memories with friends and family will begin at 6:00pm., the service will follow at 7:00pm. at First Apostolic Church, 6477 Eiterman, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
