Rebecca Lee Tyndall, 77, of LaPorte, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 2, 2023, after a brief illness.  Becky was born on July 20, 1946, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Charles and Minnie Lee McCormick.  She was the second of four children, with an older brother, Tommy, and two younger sisters, Mary and Libby.  The family had relocated to Texas when Becky was 8 years old and she grew up in the Houston area.  After graduating from South Houston High School in 1964, Becky married her high school sweetheart, Doug Rambeau, and soon had two children, Michael and Kathi.  She eventually went back to work in the insurance industry, beginning her career with Prudential Insurance Company in 1972. It was here that she met her second husband, Edward Christensen.  They married in 1974 and had a son, Brian, in 1978.  They were married for 22 years when Ed passed away in 1996.  In 1997, Becky married Lee Tyndall, a retired Marine who had also recently been widowed.  They enjoyed 23 active and happy years together before Lee passed away in 2019.  Becky then stayed busy with her children, grandchildren, and her first great-grandchild.

Becky is survived by her children Michael Rambeau, Kathi Cummings and her husband Clint, Brian Christensen and his wife Laurie; grandchildren Nicholas, Zachary (Kirsti), William, Matthew, Elyse, Kinley, Kasen; great-grandchildren Kleopatra and Levi; and her sister Libby Actkinson.

Visitation will be Monday, August 7, from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston 77089, with a graveside service following at 1:00pm at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena 77505.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
