It is with great sadness that we share the news that Rebecca Gooch Dykes has passed from this world into the next.

Becky was so many things. She was a Christian and a proud veteran of the US Army. She was a sister, daughter and friend. She was a wizard in the kitchen, where she took great joy in canning, preserving and experimenting with all sorts of foods and concoctions. Seriously. She canned enough food to feed a small army or town. She was generous in that way.

But more than anything, Becky was a loving, supportive, and dedicated parent. Despite many years of being a single Mom, Bill and Terri always had what they needed, and much of all they wanted. She was always there, despite working multiple jobs to make ends meet. Her selflessness knew no bounds, when it came to her family.

Though her physical presence will be missed, her spirit and memory will surround those that loved her forever. She will always be with us, holding her hand in the ASL symbol for "I Love You" and whispering "Love you More." We will always love each other, more and more, until we are again reunited into the eternal love of the next life.

The service for Becky will be held August  28th, 2025 at 11:30am at the Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston TX. For those wishing to attend, message Bill or Terri for details.
