Raymond Carrillo III, passed into eternal peace on February 3, 2022, in Houston, TX. He was born June 25, 1953 in Houston to Geneva Cadena Carrillo and Raymond Carrillo II.

He was a life-long resident of Houston, where he joined the Houston Fire Department in 1974, later becoming a captain, and retiring after 33 years of exemplary service. He was an integral member of two churches, Spring Branch Church of God, then Tallowood Baptist. He was passionate about God, Tallowood-the Praisers Group, his kids, grandkids, exercise, financial markets and investing, learning languages, and travel.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joy, his children, Haley, Allison, and Philip, their spouses, his step children, Brandon and James Harkins, their spouses, and his grandchildren, Graham and Gage Culbertson, and his mother, Geneva Carrillo, as well as his sister and manyloving relatives. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Ellen Carrillo, his father, Raymond Carrillo II, and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Raymond was so proud of his career of service with the Houston Fire Department. He studied at Gulf Coast Bible College for undergrad. He enlisted in the US Air Force as a staff sergeant in 1971 specializing as a radiology tech and served until 1980. He completed continuing education at Houston Community College and the University of Houston for an Arson Certification, language, and many other pursuits. He also served as a Constable in Precinct 6, as a Deputy police officer through the HempsteadPolice Department. A disciplined man of conviction for and devotion to God and number one rock for his family, he was compassionate, loving, judicious, and wise - a true man of God.

Visitation will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, TX, 77089, Friday, February 11, 2022, from 5-7 PM. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, 4 PM at Tallowood Baptist in the main Worship Center. In lieu of flowers, please donate money towww.firehelpingfire.org/donate/.
