Rayford Raymond Bebee, 74 of Houston, Texas passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Clear Lake, Texas.

Rayford was born September 13, 1948 to Joseph "JD" and Catherine Bebee in Zwolle, Louisiana. He attended Hemphill High School, graduating in 1966. Playing four different sports, Rayford received accolades for many accomplishments. Enlisting as a Marine right after graduation, he served two tours in Vietnam, was wounded three times and received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.  After the third wound he spent a lengthy amount of time in the hospital where he met a Navy Nurse named Sabina Fuentes. They married December 20, 1968 before he finished his military duties as a Staff Sergeant.

Rayford and Sabina moved back to Texas, starting in Corpus Christi where they had their son, Robert Ryan in 1972 and later settling in the Houston area where they had their daughter, Ryssa Renee 1976. Together Ray and Sabina shared 35 years of marriage, but continued to experience a sublime life as best friends till his last moment on this Earth.

Rayford Bebee worked for Halliburton-KBR for over 45 years. Starting out as a welder's helper, Rayford's drive and determination moved him up through the ranks reaching as high as Construction Director. He lasted in retirement for under a year before longing to return to the workforce. He found his new home with Allegaint Industrial as a Construction Manager for the past two years.

Rayford is survived by his best friend Sabina F. Bebee, daughter Ryssa Bebee, granddaughters Darianne, Krystalyn and Justice Garcia, grandson-in-law Elijah Pearson and great grandson Oakley, sisters Vernell "Rusty" Provost and Vickie Smith, brothers Steve and Louis Bebee, sisters-in-law Betty Jo and Pam Bebee and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Missing him will also be an abundance of friends that Rayford cherished as if they were family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph "JD" and Catherine Bebee, brother Joseph "JR" Bebee, brother-in-law Jerry Smith and son Robert Bebee. Robert died a HFD LODD May 31, 2013. Rayford lived a long impactful life and fought a hard fight and now he may rest easy alongside his son for eternity. He will be missed.

The family will receive friends at Peevey Funeral Home Friday, June 23, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, the funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, June 24, also at the funeral home.
