It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Quy Van Nguyen, who departed this life on 01/28/2025 at the age of 72 in Houston, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, whose kindness, strength, and wisdom touched all who knew him.

Born on 10/20/1952 in Vietnam, Quy Van Nguyen led a life marked by resilience, hard work, and dedication to his family. He was a fisherman throughout his life. Quy, found joy in fishing and singing karaoke. He made a lasting impact on his community and the lives of those around him.

He is survived by his wife Teo Tran, his children, Phat Nguyen, Christine Lahori, Hoang Nguyen, Connie Yen Nguyen, Hung Nguyen, Cuong Nguyen and their spouses. His 12 Grandchildren, Cynthia, Jessica, Dominique, Emily, Michael, Elizabeth, Angel, Ariel, Cordon, Peyton, Calynn, Cayle and great grandson, Austin, who will forever cherish his memory and honor his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son John Phuc Nguyen.

Visitation and prayer will be held on Thursday, February 13, 4-8pm at Peevey Funeral Home. Viewing on Friday 3-5:30pm at Peevey Funeral Home, then 6:30-8pm at the church Cac Thanh Tu Dao Vietnam.  A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on February 15th at Cac Thanh Tu Dao Viet Nam, with visitation beginning at 11am. Following final resting place Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.

Quy Van Nguyen's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
