With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father,  Phero Sanh Văn Nguyễn, also known as Ông Lơ, who peacefully left us on October 22, 2025, at the age of 69, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 8, 1955, in Bắc Việt, Hanoi, Vietnam, Sanh immigrated to the United States in 1975 with his wife, Vi Thị Nguyễn, and their two daughters, carrying with him a quiet strength that would define his life.

Sanh was a devoted husband to Vi Thị Nguyễn for 55 years, a proud father of six, and a loving grandfather to eight. His family was his greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them—whether sharing a meal, fishing, tending to his garden, or simply enjoying peaceful moments at home.

A shrimper by trade, Sanh worked on the waters he loved for many years before retiring. Fishing was not just his job; it was his passion. Even after retirement, he continued to find joy and peace by the water, casting a line whenever he could. Though a man of few words, Sanh had a unique way of bringing joy to those around him, often with nothing more than a thumbs-up and a subtle smirk. He was also known for his remarkable ability to fix anything—whether it was a torn fish net, broken fence, or whatever needed mending. His hands were always busy, working on something for others.

Sanh found happiness in life's simple pleasures: spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food, and occasionally indulging in karaoke and dancing. His laughter and love for life will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Sanh is survived by his wife, Vi Thị Nguyễn; children, Mơ "Molly" (Jamie), Hạnh (Kien), Elizabeth (Rick), Trung "Johnson" (Tin "Kelly"), Linda (Mike), and Kim (Mike); and his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Haylie (Mơ), Brandon and Matthew (Hạnh), Madelyn and Megan (Trung), and Kingston and Zoe (Kim).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Soan and Nghiên Nguyễn, his brothers, Cứ and Thu, and sisters, Tịnh and Sè.

Sanh's legacy of love, strength, and wisdom will live on through his children, grandchildren, friends, and family. While he was a man of few words, his presence was deeply felt by all who knew him. He will be forever remembered with love and gratitude. Rest in peace, Dad. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Saturday, November 8th, 9:00 AM: Catholic Mass of Burial at Vietnamese Martyr Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at 10:30 AM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. *Please follow the funeral procession to the cemetery.
