Paul "PJ" Brandon Artavia Jr passed peacefully at Bayshore Hospital in the early hours of Wednesday October 23, 2024. He is survived by his wife Alisha Artavia and daughter Aria Artavia. Both his parents Pablo and Peggy Artavia. Three siblings Lucille (Gustavo) Cornejo, Damon (Diana Baez) Artavia and Roxanne (Phillip) Stricker. One grandparent Christine Harnamji. He was proceeded in death by two Uncles Jensen Harnamji and Andre Harnamji and three grandparents Glenn Harnamji, Haydee Artavia and Jose A Artavia.

PJ was born on March 5, 1985 in Webster, Texas and spent his younger years here in Texas. He then moved with his family to Michigan and graduated from Cedar Springs High School. This is where he met his wife Alisha Artavia and married in 2009. After which they moved back to Houston, Texas. Prior to moving PJ also obtained his Associate's Degree from Grand Rapids Community College.

While living in Houston PJ made his career as a Building Engineer and met a dear friend Jorge Mira. In addition to his career PJ enjoyed music very much even being playfully named DJ PJ by his family and known as DJ Payback when working professionally. He enjoyed outdoor sports like crabbing and fishing with his family. The thing he mostly enjoyed was spending time with his loving family.

The family will receive friends at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, Texas 77089 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery.
