Patty Lynne Welch, beloved mother, sister, Kenama, and Gram passed away on June 20, 2026 in Katy, Texas at the age of 83.

Born on November 11, 1942 in Oberlin, Kansas, she was the eldest of six children. At 16, Patty graduated from Victoria High School in Victoria, TX. She was always a diligent and hard worker throughout her life, whether in school or in the office jobs she held.

Patty loved to crochet, quilt and bake. Her pies were cherished by family and friends who enjoyed them over the many years that she made them.

Patty also loved taking care of others. She took care of her siblings growing up, her family once she married and had children, and her parents in their later years. Being needed was her joy and gift.

Patty is survived by her son Rob Welch and his wife Kris, daughter Kim Grissom and her husband Charles, and by her siblings, Dennis Armstrong and wife Judy, John Armstrong and Karen, Janet Rogers and husband Tom, Jean Fauth and husband Jimmie and Jackie Woodard and husband Gary. Patty is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany, Katie, and Tyler, and great-grandchildren, Kynlee and Emma, along with many nieces and nephews.

Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in knowing that she is fully healed and in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her legacy of faith and love will continue through the generations of lives she touched.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Peevey Funeral & Cremation, 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, TX 77089. A graveside service will follow at 12:0pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association ( www.alz.org ) or to Sagemont Church ( www.sagemontchurch.org ).
