Patricia Lynn Paxton, known affectionately as Patty, went to be with her Lord on March 7, 2025 at the age of 76. Patty was born in Houston, Texas on November 21, 1948. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sadie McMahon, and her husband, Curtis "Buddy" Paxton.

She is survived by her son, Paul Goldenberg, his wife, Mary and their children Peyton, Sullivan, Kade, Keegan and Kylee; her son, David Paxton; her son Jonathan Paxton, his wife, Jana, and their children Hollie, Aidan and Lydon. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Spears and her husband, Bobby, of Madisonville, Kentucky. Patty was a loving wife, mother, and friend with a radiant smile for all.

She graduated Jones High School in 1967 and later attended San Jacinto College.

Early in her career, Patty worked for the City of Pearland in the Office of the Mayor. She later worked for Pearland State Bank, Southwest Airlines, Freeze & Nichols Engineering, and the Pearland Independent School District, until her retirement.

She married Ray Goldenberg in 1969 and they had one son, Paul. She later married Curtis Paxton, in 1976 and they had two sons, David and Jonathan.

Although she was a diligent and dedicated worker all of her life, her greatest joy was derived from her children and grandchildren.

The only thing Patty loved more than her family, was her Lord, Jesus Christ, and her church, the First Church of Pearland, where she attended faithfully for fifty-one years. She taught Sunday School and her husband served on the Church Board for many years. In her later years, she became very involved in her Bible Study and Prayer groups, which she looked forward to on a weekly basis.

She made her calling and election sure. She fought the good fight. She finished her course. She heard her Lord say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
