Patricia Joy Mills-Nield was born on January 4, 1933 and went to be with our lord on February 2, 2022. She was born to the parents of Emslie Robert and Elizabeth Mary McKerlie of Cashmere, Washington State.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Emslie Robert and Elizabeth Mary McKerlie, siblings; Joseph McKerlie, Robert McKerlie, Dick McKerlie, Betty McKerlie, and Onnie Lee McKerlie, niece; Marjorie Shelley, husbands; John Henry Mills, Robert James Nield. All of whom are from Washington State with the exception of Marjorie, who hails from Pasadena, Texas.

She is survived by son Robert J. Mills of Houston, Texas, Phyllis Vaughn of Texas City, Texas, Alvis and Wendy Campbell of Deer Park, Texas, and Debbie Benedict of Washington State with numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was a long-time employee of Palais Royal in Pasadena, Texas for years until she was retired.

The service will be held at Underwood Baptist Church, 2104 Underwood Rd., LaPorte, Texas 77571 on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 6:00pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will be held at Sardis Cemetery, 2962 FM414 Center, Texas 75935 at 2:00pm Saturday, February 12.
