Patricia "Pat"
Mccomb
Oct 25, 1939 — Jan 1, 2026
Patricia Carol McComb, of Friendswood, Texas, entered the presence of her Lord on January 1, 2026, at age 86. She was born on October 25, 1939, in Holcomb, Missouri, to John and Louise Provence. Pat's life was rooted in her faith in Jesus whom she walked with in obedience, humility and love.
Pat married her high school sweetheart in June 1959, supported them while he attended University, sacrificed to be with him in the Army in Germany and often moved homes for his career. She was a faithful ministry partner in his retirement.
She expressed her love through service. A talented cook and skilled seamstress, all self-taught, she found joy in using her gifts to bless others. She earned her associate degree from Alvin Community College, but her passion was raising her children and serving her Lord with her gift of hospitality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Provence, and her brother, Christopher Provence.
Pat is survived by her husband Charles, her son Huston McComb (Debbie) and daughter Christiana Christopher (Michael); grandchildren, Leah McComb Knight (Jamie), Mark McComb; Casey Christopher Pool (Kevin); Abby Christopher Helaire (Tyler) and Sean Christopher and great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kolby Pool, Camdyn and Kario Helaire and countless friends.
While Pat will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in God's promise: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die" (John 11:25). She was loved and respected by many, and her legacy of faith will continue to shine.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations for Alzheimer's disease research.
The service honoring Patricia's life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow immediately after at Houston National Cemetery.
