Noveline Parker Samford, 89 years old, of Webster, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, March 18, 2024.

She was born in Center, TX (Shelby County) on August 20, 1934 to Mother, Bertha Gertrude Corbell Parker and Father, Clinton Lincoln "Clint" Parker.  Noveline was raised in beautiful Deep East Texas along with 4 siblings. She was a proud Graduate of Center High School Class of 1952. Shortly after High School she made her way to Houston, TX where she roomed with her very close and good friend/family, Peggy Jean Webster, also of Center, TX where they resided in the Montrose Area. Soon after she eventually became an Operator for Bell Telephone Company where she worked for a number of years. Some years later in 1973 she began her career at Houston Belt & Terminal Railroad in the Old Union Station, then changing over to (PTRA) Port Terminal Railroad Association where she remained until retirement end of July 1999. During those 26+ years she met and made many close friends that she often spoke of and cherished for life. She was grateful for the opportunity to work for PTRA and serve as Crew Caller/Clerk having many funny stories to share over the years. She was protective of and proudly wore her Railroad Jackets often (daily) until her passing.

She was an avid Houston Astros fan which she kept up with, watching the games from Spring Training throughout the season, excitedly cheering them on. She shared this love for Houston Astros Baseball along with her only sister, Shirley Parker Chambers, whom she was extremely close to and loved dearly, and they'd often be on the phone during the games discussing the players, Coaching Staff/Management cheering them on and then some. She continued this routine every baseball season until her passing. ~ During her younger years she also enjoyed Bowling, Dancing, BBQs, picnics, going to the beach w family, and the many get togethers on holidays whether East Texas or locally with family. She also enjoyed her house plants in which she definitely had a green thumb, she enjoyed listening to music from good ole 50's Rock n Roll, Classic Country, 60's Motown, Easy Listening, 70''s Soft Rock, Pop and even some Classic Rock.

First and foremost she was a Most Loving Mother of three, Grandma of five as well as Great Grandma to five Grandchildren whom she adored and loved with all her heart.  They were her life bringing her so much joy and laughter, keeping her youthful spirit alive.  She was a kind soul and special friend to everyone she met. She was the sweetest, most giving, kind human being w the biggest most tender heart ever. She was also one of the strongest women we knew. She fought to live and love to the very end.   She was a God Given Blessing in our lives.  She is and will be deeply missed and forever loved by all.

She is preceded in death by Parents and Brothers: Orell Parker Sr. and Donell Parker of Center, TX.

Brother in Law: Jack Chambers of La Porte, TX., Sisters n law: Dorothy Parker and Betty Parker of Center, TX Cherry Parker of Longview, TX. Her beloved first born, and only Son: Thomas Bruce Samford of Pasadena, TX.  She is survived by Sister: Shirley Parker Chambers of La Porte, TX. Brother: Mardy Van Parker of Longview, TX. Daughters: Susan Samford Wilson and husband Emery Wilson of Cotulla, TX.

Linda Samford Dalton of Webster, TX. Grandchildren: Shannon Dalton, Melissa Huckabee, Brian P. Dalton, Ashleigh Craig and Michael Reyes. Great Grandchildren: Daisi Raye Chandler Kimble, Matthew Austin Kimble, Alyana Carson-Louise Hansen, Parker Day, Haleigh Reign Talley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
