With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Jean Miner, who peacefully departed and was called home to be with the lord on September 7, 2024, in Webster, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. Norma was born on March 21,1955, in Houston, Texas, she was 69 years old.

Norma was a remarkable woman of faith who found immense joy in the beauty of nature. As a child, she drew hope for the future from the graceful freedom of butterflies. Her natural talent for gardening allowed her to nurture life in every plant she tended, transforming every plant she touched into something vibrant and beautiful. Not only did she nurture plants, but she also nurtured her family with the same love and care. Norma enjoyed fishing with her children and grandchildren, sharing precious moments in the outdoors. She was a hardworking woman who could do it all, and she took pride in cooking for her family. Creating lasting memories over meals that brought everyone together, she also hosted the most memorable Christmas parties.

Her heart of gold, infectious smile, and ability to bring joy with her humor to those around her radiated warmth and happiness to all who knew her. Her boundless kindness, compassion, and generosity will be remembered by everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Above all, Norma cherished her family and was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Norma is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Stephen Miner, and her six children: son Kenneth Godeke; daughter Lida Cope and her husband, David Cope; son Damien Mercier; son Louis Miner and his wife, Veronica Miner; son Levi Miner and his wife, Jessica Miner; and daughter Ginger Miner. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Vanessa Gonzales, Gabrella Godeke-Garcia, Omar Quezada, Unica Quezada, Jay Godeke, Megan Godeke, Aaliyah Mercier, Jayden Miner, Anastasia Gutierrez, Jordan Miner, Andrea Miner and Sophia Miner; as well as 8 great-grandchildren: David Salinas, Presley Brown, Adley Stilwell, Abbie Garcia, Rowen Stilwell, Ryan Garcia, Von Gonzales, and Gavin Quezada.

Norma's legacy of love and humor will live on through her family, and her presence will be greatly missed by all.

The funeral service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, 6pm, Saturday, September 21, 2024, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
