Norma Ann Callender, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on May 10, 1933, Norma lived a life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She is survived by her daughters Teresa Elizabeth Sones and husband Michael Sones, Leslie Gemey Callender, Shannah Hughes Horton and husband James Horton, and Kelly Mari Callender. Norma's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Amber Gemey Creel and husband Ryan Creel, Zachary Adam Callender, Andrew Alan Mullen, Jennifer Marie Kolaja and husband Andrew Kolaja, James Anthony Horton and wife Kelsey Horton, Parker Cole Callender, and Melody Ann Cherie Magorien and husband Taylor Magorien and through great-grandchildren Isabelle McKenzie Creel, Reagan Walker Creel, Riley Michael Creel, Paris Alexandra Creel, Austin Norman Callender, Kennedy Elizabeth Magorien, Everly Jane Kolaja, Teigen Highley Magorien, Sterling Olivia-Rae Mullen, Thomas Richard Horton, Kendall Ruth Horton and Harlee Rae Magorien.

Norma was known for her unshakeable faith in God, for enthusiastically welcoming each day, and for believing in the potential of every individual to learn, grow and prosper. She found joy in life's simple moments—sharing stories over coffee, tending to her garden, and celebrating every milestone of her loved ones. Her wisdom and thoughtful counsel will be dearly missed, and her resounding "It's a great day!" will echo forever in the memories of all who knew her.

Her life was a testament to love and a living call to action in the service of her savior, Jesus Christ. May it serve to inspire and challenge us all to be better at loving, giving and living.

The service will be held at Greater Life Church, Tuesday, April 7, at 12:00pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
