Nery was a strong, vibrant woman who loved her family and had a wildly varying list of interests and hobbies over the years, from books to video games and movie memorabilia.  She was a visionary when it came to computers and electronics going by the screen name 'Infinite Mom". She joined her mother in the lord's embrace peacefully at the age of 64 in Houston Texas on September 6th, 2025.

She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico in September of 1960 to Felipe Neri Pacheco and Joaquina Maldonado. She moved to Houston with her daughter Edie and met the love of her life, Michael Thomas and had two sons, Michael and Christopher.  They raised all three kids together and have been married for 45 years.  Nery and Michael created a home that held true to their faith in Jesus Christ.  She was a fun mother who took her kids to the zoo, the museums around town, and the arcades for entertainment.  She was also a grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and was always being happy to see them when she could.

Nery also had a soft spot for her furry friends, treating each one like the valuable family member they were.

Nery will always be remembered for her energy and the way that she enjoyed being with family. We couldn't have asked for a better Wife, mother, and grandmother, and we'll miss Nery every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Nery was preceded in death by Felipe Neri Pacheco, Joaquina Maldonado and Irma Pacheco and is survived by Michael Thomas Sr, Edie Thomas, Michael Thomas Jr, Christopher Thomas Sr, and siblings Lydia Molitor, Jeanette Pacheco Ross and Johnny Pacheco, and grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Joseph, Christopher Jr, Julian, Lillian, Nolen, Roy, and Mikey.

The service celebrating her life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Friday, September 12, at 6:00pm, with vistation one hour prior to the service.
