Nathan Shannon Hamby was received into the arms of his Heavenly Father on January 8, 2024 at 60 years old. An avid sports fan, Nathan's favorite pastime was watching his beloved Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Houston Astros games alongside his family. He was a devoted husband and father, and his kids were the pride and joy of his life. He worked for many years for Southwest Airlines, where he made lifelong friends and many wonderful relationships.

Nathan is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Wehmeyer Hamby, mother Linda Nell Hamby, and father-in-law John Ray Wehmeyer. He is survived by his father Shannon O'Dell Hamby and mother-in-law Patricia Ann Wehmeyer. His children, Jonathan, Jordan, and Jenna Hamby. Sisters Geri Mills (Lou), Mary (David) Gill, and Cindy (Jeff) Neal. Nieces & Nephews: Ali (Travis) Manning, Anna and J.C. Mills, Garret, Shane (Waylon), Bailey, Alexa and Logan Gill, Brooke, Dawson (Ashley) and Graham Neal. Owen and Oliver Denton, Elizabeth, Margaret, John Micheal, Carolyn, Christine, Callie Sue Wehmeyer, Sydney (John) Bradley, Noah, Abigail, Nixon and Mavis Wehmeyer, Timmy, Ben, Alex and Caylie Carrillo. Grandnieces and Grandnephews: Isla and Dorothy Wehmeyer, Porter Manning, Daniel and Liam Marquez.

To honor the life of Nathan Hamby, a visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, January 15, 2024,at Peevey Funeral Home (12440 Beamer Rd) A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00pm Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (11011 Hall Rd.), with a rosary being prayed at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Nathan's name to TIRR Memorial Hermann.
